Videography Client Questionnaire

Thank you for booking me to capture your family’s memories. While family films are a relatively new genre of photography, they are one of the most powerful ways to create a truly memorable keepsake of your family just as they are right now. Moving pictures have the ability to capture real, authentic moments that we otherwise may have missed or forgotten and I’m super excited to capture those moments on film for you.

Videography sessions are relaxed and gently guided by myself so there’s no need to worry about performing for the camera. I will ensure your video has it’s own story and is unique to you. Below are some guidelines and questions for you to answer to ensure that I can give you the best experience possible.

Before your session

The best images are always made when you put a little extra effort in to your outfits. I love seeing a long flowing dress on the girls and the boys are always adorable in hats, chinos or something relaxed. The idea here is to capture an authentic film so don’t wear anything you wouldn’t usually be seen in. Feel free to have your hair and makeup done professionally as this will allow you to relax knowing you look your best. If you need any assistance curating your family’s outfits please give me a shout as this is one of my specialities.

During your session

RELAX! Seriously, I mean it - relax. I have been capturing families for over 11 years with kids of all ages and no family is ever perfectly behaved. If we’re on the beach and it’s windy and messing up everyone’s hair, just go with it (personally, I think wind makes for amazing imagery). If one of your kids is pouting and refusing to join in (there’s always one), just go with it - I have a knack for shooting and editing around those little moments and capturing lots of the good so just trust in the process. Have fun, enjoy your family and your film will radiate love.

After your session

When we have finished capturing your film, I take all my footage and begin editing. I hand select a licenced music track to suit your film so you are able to share it online if you wish. The editing process can take around 3 weeks to finish your 3-4 minute film. Once complete, I will send you a link to your gallery of images and your custom film! Online you can purchase a range of prints, frames and custom albums for your images. I also add this high resolution file to a Dropbox folder for you to save the file to your computer for safe keeping. Your film is ready to watch on your computer, phone or TV.
